Helping families make better choices since 1997

There are two ways to end your marriage legally:

Litigation or Dissolution.

While we can’t say what the best option is for your and your situation, you need to consider whether you want to avoid litigation, which is where your case is argued in court. This is the most expensive, and usually the most stressful legal option. Although litigation works for some of our clients, we find that most of our clients benefit from other legal options. Generally speaking, mediation is the most effective. If you’d like to learn more about your options, click below.

  • Litigation

The court is in control as I argue your case, your life, in front of a judge. This option tends to increase conflict and tension for the entire family. Cases settle over 95% of the time, so most people avoid litigation and try one of the other options on this page.

  • Negotiation

You retain me to negotiate on your behalf with your spouse, or your spouse’s attorney. You do not have to be involved in the negotiations. I am responsible for filing all the paperwork with the court.

  • Mediation

I meet with you and your spouse as a neutral. I inform you of the law, and help you both make decisions that work for you now, and in the future as well. Not only is it cost-effective, but it often transforms relationships and improves parenting relationships.

  • Unbundled Services

You retain my services for only the services you need. Particularly helpful if your spouse does not want to work with anyone, but you want to make sure you understand your legal options, or if you need help with the legal documents.
